Jonathan oversees curriculum, assessment and quality assurance in his school, where he has sought to build expertise and to embed a culture of ongoing development. He also leads a programme supporting local teachers to gain chartered status, working in partnership with the Chartered College of Teaching. He has been teaching history in Hertfordshire schools since 2001 and it continues to be the best part of his working week. He shares his reflections on curriculum, assessment, leadership and history (amongst other things) on social media (too much), his blog (less than he used to) and via the educational media (when something triggers him enough to write about it).
