Chris Armstrong-Stacey

Deputy Director, Developing Teachers and Leaders, Department for Education
Chris Armstrong-Stacey has been a Deputy Director, responsible for areas of teacher development since April 2020. In this role, he is responsible for advising ministers on policy relating to teacher and school leader development and oversaw the introduction of the Early Career Framework and National Professional Qualifications. Before this role, Chris was the Deputy Director responsible for the strategy and performance of the Free School programme and has held a range of policy roles in DfE since October 2008.
