Marie Hamer MBE leads Ambition Institute’s Strategy and Impact division, overseeing strategy, product development, public affairs and research functions. Previously a school leader, Marie was Head of Teacher Training at Ark Schools. She co-founded the Institute of Teaching, a graduate school for teachers and one of Ambition Institute’s predecessor organisations. As an expert advisor, Marie has worked closely with the DfE in the development and implementation of the Early Career Framework and the reformed National Professional Qualifications, helping codify expert teaching and leadership for the system.
