Kamal is the Head of System Leadership at the National Institute of Teaching where she leads the School Trust CEO Programme. She is an education reform leader with expertise in equity, inclusion and system analysis. Prior to joining NIoT, Kamal was Head of International Development at the National Association for Special Educational Needs where she worked with governments, global funders and schools across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Before this, Kamal was a Lecturer in Education at University of Birmingham teaching on primary, secondary and international programmes as well as school improvement and educational leadership masters. Kamal's professional journey began as a secondary English teacher.
