Jimmy is Director of Communities at The Brilliant Club, overseeing the charity’s Parent Power initiative. He is also a trustee of Citizens UK. Jimmy's experience of seeing educational inequality in his hometown of Oldham led him to work to increase access to and success in higher education for underserved communities. He is especially passionate about working with communities in a meaningful way to ensure ordinary people influence change in the education sector. Jimmy has recently undertaken a Churchill Fellowship, travelling to the US to learn about successful community organising with parent and carer leaders and comparing this to current practice in the UK.
