Dr Sam Parrett CBE

Group Principal and CEO, London and South East Education Group
Sam is Group CEO of London & South East Education Group, comprising London South East Colleges and London South East Academies Trust. London South East Academies Trust is a successful and growing multi-academy trust. It currently comprises 13 schools, including mainstream, special and alternative provision, across Bromley, Bexley, Surrey, and Lambeth. It also includes an outreach service and a music service. The unique structure of the Education Group is ensuring that children and young people have access to high quality provision and care from birth through to 25 and beyond. It operates as a social enterprise and Sam is committed to driving social mobility and transforming lives through the power of education. As a designated National Leader of Further Education, Sam also undertakes improvement work across the FE and Schools system, including the mentoring and coaching of new and aspiring CEOs and principals. In recognition of her contributions to the educational communities of South East London, Sam was awarded a CBE, and also recognised as the TES Further Education Leader of the Year in 2020. In addition, London South East Academies Trust was named Trust of the Year in the 2024 Tes Schools Awards. Sam achieved her doctoral degree in Education Policy in 2019. She currently sits on the board of University of Kent, Education and Training Foundation, and is a chair of the Mixed Economy Group. She is a fellow of the CIPD, RSA and the Chartered Institution of Further Education.
