Chris has been the CEO for Co-op Academies Trust since September 2019. During these five years, he has improved the trust by developing a school improvement model from very little which has produced success, financial efficiency and effectiveness, improvements to accountability framework, improvements to data practise within schools, careers, equality, diversity and inclusion, scheme of delegation, leadership at all levels, national outcomes for every area and leading the trust through the COVID era, to name a few. For the first time in its history, the trust has outstanding schools as rated by Ofsted. Currently, just over 82% of these schools are rated Ofsted good or better, with 90% of them being sponsored academies. The trust has grown from 21 schools to 38 (September 2024), and as the trust has grown, the organisation has developed and evolved. Following two rounds of town hall meetings in all schools last year, Chris produced the new strategic plan for 2022 to 2025.
