Alex Warner is an experienced executive leader with a career spanning secondary, further, and higher education. His background includes teaching, senior leadership roles including principal and deputy chief executive, and strategic advisory work. He holds a master's degree in leadership and is a serving Ofsted inspector. Currently, Alex works within Ark's strategy team on transforming post-16 education through strategic curriculum innovation and employer-connected learning. His work with Ark focuses on developing vocational and technical pathways, and driving strategic interventions that deliver meaningful outcomes for students and employers. Alex brings a system-wide perspective shaped by roles as an advisory board member at UCL's Institute of Education and trustee positions with sector charities. He is committed to ensuring that education innovation meets accountability standards while advancing equity and social justice.

This workshop explores how trusts can design coherent pathways that help every learner make informed choices and progress with confidence. Working through learner profiles with different strengths, aspirations, and support needs, we will examine where curriculum, qualifications, careers education, and transition points can become disconnected. Together, we will identify common barriers and explore practical approaches to trust-wide curriculum planning, qualification pathways, and destination strategies to create a more joined-up experience.
