Sunita Yardley-Patel

Head of Governance, Ormiston Academies Trust
Sunita is Head of Governance at Ormiston Academies Trust, a national school trust which currently has a portfolio of 44 schools including 32 secondaries, and several primaries, special schools and alternative provision sites. Sunita is also currently a Trustee at St. Bartholomew's CE Multi Academy Trust in Wolverhampton which has 16 primary schools. She chairs the Audit and Risk Committee as part of this role. Sunita has nearly 15 years experience in governance, the majority of which has been in school trusts. Prior to education, Sunita worked in student unions in a variety of roles including student voice, external reviewer of governance and chairing trust boards. Sunita has a governance consultancy Governing Together through which she has done external reviews of governance, worked on events and document development with CGI and LeadTo and delivered bespoke training to governance stakeholders.
