The CST Safeguarding Conference is on 16 January 2025, at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre.
The full programme will published nearer to the event date, but delegate registration will begin at around 08:30 with the main programme running approximately 09:15 to 16:15.
Overnight accommodation is not included in your conference ticket.
Accommodation can be booked at exclusive rates through our venue booking agent, MICE Concierge. By staying in one of the accredited hotels, you will be with other delegates, offering more opportunities to network and socialise outside of the main conference.
We recommend delegates use public transport wherever possible. The BCEC is a short walk from Birmingham New Street train station, south side exit.
For delegates who choose to drive, long stay car parks close to the BCEC include:
Overnight accommodation is not included in delegate tickets, but delegates choosing to stay at the Holiday Inn next to the BCEC can obtain a special parking rate for the Grand Central car park; further details are available from the hotel.
Central Birmingham is covered by a Clean Air Zone which requires drivers of certain more polluting vehicles to pay a fee. You can find details of this on the Brum Breathes website.
Delegate tickets include full attendance at the event, and access to resources after the event for CST professional community members. Tickets also include refreshments throughout the day and lunch.
Tickets do not include overnight accommodation or travel.
We aim to make our events as inclusive as possible. If you have any dietary requirements or additional needs, then please add these at the point of booking wherever possible.
Alternatively please email conference@cstuk.org.uk as soon as possible so that we can work with the venue to make any necessary adaptations.
Our events aim for a friendly but professional atmosphere. We recommend a dress code of smart casual or business clothes.
Filming and photography may take place during the event for promotional and archival purposes by both CST and our partners; if you do not wish to be included please let a member of CST staff know. Please read our photography policy for full details.
Our events may also be reported on by the professional media and on social media.
Wherever possible we work with speakers and programming partners to make copies of presentations and workshop resources available to delegates after the event. These will be posted on CST professional community platform.
By booking a place at the conference you agree that we may share your name, job title, organisation, and email address for the purposes of delegate registration and conference administration. We will enter into data sharing agreements with carefully selected partners who will facilitate these services on our behalf.
Please contact conference@cstuk.org.uk if you have any concerns.
If you are no longer able to attend the event, we are usually happy to accept a suitable substitute delegate from the same organisation. Please provide as much notice as possible for any name changes and contact us at conference@cstuk.org.uk – if there are any resulting dietary or other additional requirements, please let us know.
Alternatively, we may be able to offer a full or partial refund. This depends on the amount of notice you can give, and reflects our fixed costs and potential to re-sell your place:
We may occasionally need to cancel or reschedule events due to circumstances outside of our control. If this is necessary, we will contact you to explain the reasons for the change and the options for your booking.
While we make every effort to publish accurate information, the event programme, speakers, and related arrangements are provisional and subject to change at short notice.
By booking a place at the conference, you agree to accept our Terms and Conditions for events.
Our events typically include an accompanying exhibition, targeted to the interests of our delegates. This gives companies and organisations the opportunity to make new connections with school trust decision makers, and delegates to explore innovative ways of improving their practice.
For more details, please contact partnerships@cstuk.org.uk to discuss partnership opportunities.
